Trinity Grammar School (TGS), a member of the Combined Associated School (CAS) Sports Programme, is seeking to appoint a talented, experienced and passionate 1st VII Water Polo Coach.

Reporting to the Director of Water Polo and working collaboratively with the wider Co-curricular team, we are seeking a specialist Coach to inspire our students to dream more and be the best they can be.  Whilst the focus of this role will be working closely with the 1st VII team, there will also be the opportunity to coach across different teams within the TGS Water Polo program.

The summer season will begin in the first week of Term 1, w/c 4 October 2021 and continue until the final round of CAS &GPS Sport around the last week of Term 1, 2022, w/c 4 April 2022.  The successful candidate must be able to commence work as close to 26 April, 2021 as possible, to assist with the TGS Water Polo program off season team preparation and preseason trial team selections.

Successful applicants will:

·         Bring specialist knowledge and experience, passion and enthusiasm to coach, mentor and role model for our students.

·         Have previous experience in coaching Water Polo to school aged children. Experience coaching at State and National level is highly desirable.

·         Possess formal coaching qualifications and/or accreditation – Water Polo Australia Development Coach accreditation is desirable with a minimum of Water Polo Community Coach accreditation required.

·         Have HUDL video analysis experience or similar.

·         Possess current First Aid and CPR certifications (essential).

·         Demonstrate the ability to communicate in a professional and timely manner as you'll be interacting with peers, parents and students.

·         Be a highly organised individual with a strong administration ability.

·         Show a professional approach to work – punctual for all coaching sessions and meetings. 

·         Have the ability to role model effective behaviours while acknowledging professional boundaries.

·         Be reliable and show commitment to developing the TGS Water Polo Programme.

The successful candidate will be required to attend scheduled training sessions and games as per the Water Polo program for your assigned team(s).  Refer to the attached FAQ’s for more detail.

All staff are required to provide the School with a current NSW Working with Children Check Number (Employment Status) in accordance with Child Protection Legislation.
