We are seeking a passionate and dynamic education professional to join our Junior School and the Library Services team at Trinity Grammar School. This Maternity Leave position is available for 12 months commencing in January 2021. The primary role of Library Services at Trinity Grammar School is to design and deliver collections and innovative services support teaching and learning and promote an enriched student experience for our Junior School boys.

The position of Teaching and Learning Librarian works collaboratively with the Junior School leadership team and the Director of Library Services to ensure the daily operations of the Library support the teaching and learning programs and contribute to the learning goals of the School. The key focus of the role is to model outstanding classroom practice by combining curriculum pedagogy with information literacy skills to create opportunities for students to develop habits of lifelong learning.

Applicants must be committed to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, and possess a strong desire for professional growth and development. A demonstrated ability in working collegially as a member of a large cross-campus team is also essential.

Registration to teach in NSW is essential. The successful applicant will have appropriate academic qualifications in teaching or teacher librarianship. The role requires a willingness to participate in the wider Christian ministry of the school as well as  the School’s comprehensive pastoral, sporting and co- curricular programs. Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), an awareness of effective use of Library and learning management systems (Infiniti and Canvas), and experience coordinating events and other projects would be advantageous, but not essential.
