Trinity Grammar School is seeking passionate casual Football Coaches to assist with the 2022 Sports Program.

The role of a Trinity Sports Coach is to share knowledge and understanding of game specific skills while managing and developing student affiliation towards sport and athletic pursuits. The Sport program provides opportunities for students to develop athletically while playing against other schools in a variety of sports.

Coaching appointments are on offer at the School’s Summer Hill and Strathfield campuses. Training is spread across weekdays and Saturdays, and Games are played on Saturday mornings/afternoons. You must be available for all training sessions and matches through the season, with availability for a minimum of 6 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Director of Football. Plan and implement a coaching program for the nominated team to achieve short and long-term outcomes.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions and games as per the programme for your assigned team(s).
  • Facilitate the skill development of team members with a range of skill levels to achieve performance outcomes.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation for the team for competition.
  • Attend all program activities including coach’s’ meetings, training sessions and games.
  • Liaise with the Director of Football for providing reports on student performance, game results and other issues as required.
  • Model exemplary behaviour reflective of the values and ethos of the School.

You will require:

  • A sound playing and/or coaching background.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and timely manner as you'll be interacting with peers, parents and students.
  • Developed organisation and administration ability.
  • Professional approach to work – punctual for all coaching sessions and meetings. Equipment set up and ready to start training on time.
  • Enthusiasm to develop the skills of young boys under the guidance of the Director of Football.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check Number (Employment Status not Volunteer).
  • A current Play by the Rules” (PBTR) – Child Protection module certificate.
  • A valid First Aid qualification (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009).
  • A valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a COVID-19 vaccine medical contraindication exemption.

  • Your NSW-Working with Children number. (Must be Employment not Volunteer Status).
  • Copy of your valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
  • Copy of your PBTR-Child Protection module certificate.
  • Copy of your valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a COVID-19 vaccine medical contraindication exemption.
